anyone done it before?

anyone made the stupid tool thing or found something that works better?


600 needed a clutch so I took care of it..........but couldnt get the shift kit in

ran out of time to play so I had to call it quits.......

I forget what I did for the clutch boss but I remember making a tool...it ended with me having to buy a new clutch boss . Anyway, get that shift kit in there! It's prolly my favorite mod I've done to my bike yet. Love it

when i did my shift kit i didn't remove much , to get the clutch off i just used the impact wrench , came right off . for the bolt that holds the detent arm on i took a socket i didn't care about and ground it down around the edges so i could fit it in there . i didn't bother removing the oil pump like the instructions said .

I may hyst borrow my buddies electric impact to get the boss off


too bad I couldnt do it last night when it was mostly apart already

im sore from sitting on my garage floor half the day now

I didn't take anything off when I put the kit in. It wasn't the easiest way but it is doable. You just need someone with small hands if you don't have them yourself. I have quite the dainty hands so I didn't have any issues. 10mm deep socket fit right in without grinding either.
