Hey I found someone around here with an r6 swingarm and I am looking for an r6 tail to put on my fzr 600. I have an 89 and I am wondering what all will need to be replaced when I do these mods. I am of course going to get a new rear tire. Do I need a different chain? I know for the tail I will have to either make a new sub frame or mod the hell out of the one on there. Any comments would be appreciated. I am just really curious what all I have to do to make the swingarm and the tail work and look nice.

Here are a couple links to check out:

R6 Swingarm swap http://fzronline.com/wiki/doku.php?id=r ... ngarm_swap

R6 tail swap http://heath.agdog.com/fzr/workbench/r6_tail_yzf_tank/

Most people that do the R6 tail do the YZF600 tank swap also so it looks cleaner/more updated. Or you could just glass the hole on the tank cover where the FZR seat sits on it as the R6 seat doesn't.

r6 swingarm swap will require the R6 wheel, r6 rear caliper and mount, a 520 chain, 520 r6 rear sprocket, a kawi zx6r 520 front sprocket and about 2 hrs of grinding on the fzr frame. and a 1" drill bit (about 30$ at lowes or HD)

I've done alot of R6 mods to my bike, as alot of members on the board have too, I would suggest take a browse through the Hybird Section
