Now that my FZR is up and running well ('been a year in mothballs), I was wondering what kind of MPG you guys are getting ....so I can compare to my somewhat stock set up.
I'd also be interested in what mods you've done.....'curious to see how it effects mileage.
I get 48 every time. With my 16t front sprocket I was getting 53, but I've changed sprockets since then. I've got about 32000 on the clock. and I do use heavy throttle.
Thanks, for a country where nobody is allowed to mind his own business. Thanks, for a nation of finks.

Generally 40-50. It matters on how much throttle I use. My odometer says 24,000, but it wasn't hooked up when I got it. It could have less, or it could have 1,000,000,000. All I know is it runs well.

16000 on the dial, jetted and yoshi slip-on. I'm not sure what kind of mileage I'm getting. My first full tank of the season was ~50, since then I've been seeing more like 35. However, I have been trying different fuel brands/grades. The 50mpg tank was 87 from BP, two tanks @35mpg were 91 from SA and BP, and the gf said my bike stank really bad when I was running that (octane too high, not burning fully?). Currently I'm running regular 87 from BP again to see if I get better mileage.
Last I checked, because I was curious to. I was getting more like 40 to 45 mpg (city). I have been running 93 Octane (Shell) lately, and I think the bike has been running better with it. I'm very (spirited) with the throttle.
I'm 6'2'' and about 210lbs dressed. Yoshi Slip-on K&N Filter.....Carbs are stock as far as I know. 23K on the clock

The lord tells me he can get me outta this mess but he tells me he's pretty sure your f***ed.
Stock gearing, jetting, Miron Slip-on, 4,000 on the clock and my lard arse at 2 bills will usually get 50-54. My riding season offically starts Monday now that the kids our out of school.
The FZR is pretty great on gas, I have to give it credit. I thought fuel injection might be more efficient, but I guess it also has to do with engine size and squid factor.

well, i ride less than a mile to work everyday, and that gives me about 36mpg, but on the freeway i get just below 51 mpg. I have individual air filters and a yoshimura exhaust. bike has 385## k miles
I'll have to check my mpg against what you all have given.
I've been using my fzr for commuting as my Aprilia does only about 30 mpg. I'm still a bit freaked out about filling my tank for $15. Not so long ago it was $5 to fill it....and I do at least 75 miles a day commuting...it adds up.
