Bike took a little tumble but for the most part it was a ok and no one was hurt. Does anyone know what the bolt on the shifter is or what it looks like. Better yet is it a universal part that i can get at home depot or the like?
any advice is appreciated

I am assuming you mean the bolt that hold the foot shifter to the shift spline?
If so, you can get that at Home Depot. Mine fell out while riding one time - on my way to Home Depot of all places. I had to ride my bike in 4th gear all the way there... not the best take off from a stand still I'll tell you that.

Not exactly sure... 5x20mm? That's a guess.
Mine didn't have a nut. It should have threads built in when you put the screw through (#11 in the attached graphic)
