Carbtune Help
im going to be using a carbtune 2. I am just wondering in what order do i sync the cylinders? Where exactly do i connect these hoses for the carbtune? and what cmHg should i be sitting at? I will be doing this tomorrow. so anything will help.
Re: Carbtune Help
The book is in the package. But what you have to do is get yourself some extra fuel line so you can remove your tank and place it on a bar stool or something like that. Next take your air box off if you have one (If you have pods skip this step) on each intake tube there's a screw remove it and screw your plastic tubes in. Connect rubber hoses to tubes and to your carb tune cylinder one to the first inlet on the carbtune going left to right cylinders 1 2 3 4 replace your filter box. Start bike and let it warm up to temp I suggest a long screw driver or your gonna get burned (got the scars to prove it
). Once up to temp there is THREE adjustments. First off your gonna adjust cylinders 1 & 2 so there even the adjustment is between carb 1 & 2. Next adjust carbs 3 & 4 so there even and finally between carb 2 & 3 theres the adjustment to sync carbs 1 & 2 with 3 & 4 and your done.
Oh and if you tore these carbs apart you might want to do a manual adjustment first. If I remember somewhere on these forums there's a manual carb sync. just too much info for me to type right now.Not as refined as the carb tune but you'll need to do that to get the bike started.
Good Luck

I used a homemade one, so the pic below (2nd photo) it will show where I put my adapters.
Also, here is a top looking down photo of the screws that need to be removed to attach the sync tool:

These are the screws used for adjustment on the carbs, in case you're wondering:

Re: Carbtune Help
Wow i feel like an idiot haha. I have been trying to get my bike idling and synced by screwing in and out the mixture screws haha and i was getting really pissed and crabbing at my girlfriend cause she was bugging me and the gauge on the Carbtune would never change. I totally didnt know it was those screws. i will have to go do it later tonight or tomorrow afternoon because im going to go see my grandpa in the hospital, he is really not doing well.
