A couple headers questions.

Ok well first off. Are the stock FZR headers 4-1 or are they 4-2-1.
Next question has to do with me just rebuilding my carbs. Well i just bought a CarbTune II to sync my carbs. I also have my IR gun and i want to check the temps of each cylinder with it to make sure nothing is running to rich or to lean. So my question is what are some good temps i should be seeing on these headers, and what temps are too high and too low?

stock fzr600 headers = 4-1

Alright well i must have a full exhaust system because my headers are 4-2-1

4-2-1 for FZR most common are D+D, V+H, and Yoshimura
usually they will match your can make

I have a Two Brothers can on it so im guessing the headers are also two brothers.

So does anyone else have an IR-Gun and can check the temps on their headers. I will post mine up here later today. We can try to get some temp numbers in and see how close everyone is and what the averages are between the headers.

V&H only did a 4-1 design for our bikes. Usually a D&D if the parts come aparts. Could be Yosh but I have no experience with theirs and it could be a muzzy. Two brothers never made a full system as far as I'm aware.
Also, to answer your header temps question (sorry it's late) I tuned mine to about 500°, maybe a little under. The biggest thing is just making sure they are all running within a few degrees of each other. Then take it out of a test and see if you have flat spots. If you need to adjust mixtures to give more air or less air at that point then do it. Just retune afterwards so all of them are the same temp then. Since all the motors have been broken in differently and are running different things, there isn't really a hard and fast rule about an exact temp.
