So Since I got my fzr Ive noticed a few drops of oil here and there on the ground underneath it and thought to my self well I just lubbed the chain so maybe its that, and the the other day I lubbed the pegs and a few other odds and ends on the bike, and discovered a few more drops. So the weathers been kinda shitty here the past few days and the bike has been sitting in the same spot in the garage, decided to go out for a little stroll today with a buddy and when I got home to park in my desinated spot in the garage I notice a 6 in by 6 in spot of oil. I was like wtf! I even put my fingers in it and it was oil, brown in color and smelled fine. In the same spot as usuall, not by anything I lubbed or anything. If I had to explain where the oil spot is in position to my bike its directly underneath the middle of the bike, and when I say middle, Look at your sprocket cover then in a straight line go to underneath middle of the bike...I cant get the bike up onto anything yet to see exactly where its coming from. And For me lookign around doing a inspection I cant see it either, does anyone have any Ideas of what the hell couldve happened or what I should be looking at further?

gaskets man gaskets. Most likely they are bad. just use some RTV and make your own gasket. Doesnt sound like you have gotten on the ground to see where the oil is coming out of. I wouldnt worry about it much. just make sure every now and then that there is oil in it. Fzr's are old bikes. Oil leaks are inevitable.

W-G,
two weak spots in that area are the fear shift shaft & the clutch rod & seal. Only oncehave I known a sprocket seal screw up and that was because a PO had broken a chain and guged it.

The most likely is gear shift as some tall riders keep their big hoof on the shifter and thus push the shift mech down & ovalise the seal.

i replaced all 3 of those seals last season. the pics from that job are on the disc that i gave you guy. the shift rod housing was a little deformed but not too bad...

You sure its not oil from your car? If those seals were replaced I doubt they are leaking again. IDK
