has anyone tried to swap rearsets with other bikes since no one makes adjustable ones for ours? i know theres woodcraft ones, that aren't adjustable and i don't think anyone is willing to sell any of their custom made ones(group buy)

Chinaracer (Steve) needs to work on getting another order together for the adjustable ones he had made for the FZR. I'll see if he's wanting to do that again.

The hassle is the mounting hole centres on our FZR do not match anything else.
However that is not to say that with home tools & time we cannot make our original rearsets adjustable !

see pic 4 & 6 down for a system for making VERY adjustable rear sets. Once you have found what setting suits you, you simply make plates that match your setting

There is more than you think to designing rear sets to go on your bike. Clearances, rear brake mechanism, etc.

Steve's (china racer) design was almost flawless, in which we corrected, I dont know if he is thinking about doing another batch of them or not, but go with them if you want to attempt to do anything

Try Brent at http://www.motobits.com/. He uses a modular system where the mounting bracket is the only custom part for each bike. He doesn't list the FZR on his page, but I know that he made some a year or two ago. Reasonable price, and I can go kick him in the shin if he doesn't deliver. Let him know that Phil Cook sent you, unless he gets all bent out of shape, then I don't know you.

Brent Prindle <?> is highly thought of on two other bike lists for his innovative work, I have set of his rear sets that were passed along for an RD4 race bike that he did way back and they are class (I wish I had a pic of that bike )

See I don't really like the look of chinasteve's design. I don't care much for adjustable though. I've been making a set forever but haven't finished them. They take the same dimensions as the stock ones but look a hell of a lot nicer. The big giant heel guard on chinasteve's is what I don't like. It just looks out of place to me.

I know someone made brackets so they could use the YZF rearsets. Was a very simple design.

Not sure if Steve is a member of this site or not and it didn't sound like he was planning on making anymore rear sets. Billy, how in the hell did you get your shift lever (left side) down so low??? Mine is too high and hard to up shift properly.
