01 GSXR tail on a 94 fzr 600

As my bike sits right now it was an 01 R1 tail on it, which means the rearseat is always covered. The only way its attached is 2 self-tappers, 1 on each side in the front. I have a friend that has a tail off an 01 GSXR that I can have. The seat would always be exposed and probably look alittle better. So my question is how difficult will it be to mont the 01 GSXR tail and has anyone done it before. I still want to use the R1 taillight and I want the rearseat to be secure. If anyone has some pics or info that would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

not sure that anyone has done it.
I believe iv seen a huyabusa tail on a fzr...but not a 600-1000 gsxr tail.
Just give it a shot!

I have never seen that type of set up on a fzr but im sure its doable with the right tools and know how. Post up some pics.

I would love to see the 06 and up gixxer tail on the fzr thats for sure. I love the way the tail flows.

I have an 03 gsxr tail that I was planning on taking a look at on my FZR600 next weekend. Oh and if you haven't tossed that comp out i can take a look at the HDD I have done a bit of data recovery work and may be able to salvage the schtuff!

got the tail today... test fitted it
it doesn't look like it will be that bad... rear mounting will probably be the worst part. stock front seat fits pretty well, need to trim the front so the mounting point sits right. also need to find a new rear seat and mount for that
... BUT overall looks like it shouldn't be too bad and won't take a HUGE amount of work. + no cutting of the rear section

didn't have much time to take a bunch of pics this weekend, that was just a quick fit, the seats seem very similar in size, the front one may just stay because of the fitment being a ok. The rear will need a little bit of work to get to fit right... i want the rear to be stable enough for the girl

my tail got mounted and is waiting for me to stop riding so i can paint the bugger! pictures will be up asap!
