hey-
new to this site, was lured over here from posts on the fzr forum that said there was good info on doing an r6 rear shock swap here- but the link to the topic in the mods section says it hasnt been created yet, and it seems no matter how many ways i try to phrase it in a search it comes up as too many matching entries, so can someone point me towards some r6 shock swap info? i already have mt 06 r6 shock, and i understand i need to fab some bushings for the top mount, which im not too worried about, i just wanted to see what other people have done.
thanks!

Here are your choices..

This one you drill the bushing(12mm hole) and use washers to space out the top shock mount) I used this method today on my shock

OR..

You can make two bushing/spacers on a lathe instead of drilling the R6 bushing.

How-to 1
How-to 2 <== this one has the dimension for the bushing/spacers

cool thanks,
as usual i have gotten myself in deeper than i was expecting, but i can handle making some new spacers and dogbones. does anyone have feedback on using the shortened stock fzr spring on the r6 shock, or a source for reasonably priced stiffer springs for the r6 shock? i dont want to have to soft a spring and i dont want to spend an arm and a leg either.
thanks!

Z,
Your sig does not say where you are? I have a company close to hand in west london that made me my springs

see:

The 4th item down has info on the spring maker
