Best tire for street use ?
I'm looking for a RADIAL tire that is sticky even when you ride the bike in the street with cold tires
( I'm not intressted in tires for the RaceTrack !!! )

What is the riding differences if I ride with a 60% sidewall instead of a 70% sidewall ?

Example ( Rear Tire ) :

150/60 * 18"

150/70 * 18"

IDK

Best street tire for the FZR is the BT-014. Top notch!

Not sure if they make a 150/70/18...

150/60-18

150= width of sidewall crosection in mm.
60= height aspect ratio. The height of the sidwall is 60% of the width
150*60%=90mm

So the tire is 150mm wide at the widest part of the sidewall with a 90mm tall sidewall.

Diameter= 150*60%=90mm, 90mm*2 (two sidewall heights)=180mm, 180mm/25.4=7.04 inches+18inches (rim diameter)=35inches.

I'm already aware of the meaning of all the numbers....

My question is :

Ah, IC. One will be taller than the other. This will affect top speed and acceleration to some degree. Not sure how it would effect cornering. I would think the taller tire would flex alittle more but might not be noticable.

With the taller side wall it will be more cushy on bumps because there is more side wall to flex and cushion it. But when you start trying to corner hard there will also be more side wall flex which may not be a good thing if you like to ride on twisty roads a lot.

150/60 * 18 is what I just put on my bike and wow did it make a pretty big differnce in the way the bike handled vrs the cheaper tires the last owner had on there. Also they are pretty damn good in the wet weather as well!
