Sorry to hear about the tranny issues. Good luck with finding a better one and a rebuild. One good thing comes of this though. Now you ahve an excuse to freshen up the engine a little bit.

Indeed. Only thing that sucks about working on bikes (or cars for that matter) during this time of year, is its too damn hot. Currently it is 105 degrees at 6:20pm
it still seems too early to be this hot. Can't wait for July, 120+ here we come.

FQ,
You and DK are lucky( DK doubly so for walking away from a seized tranny
) try riding at 80+ wind chill factor and the ambient is only 13 degrees and it is MAY for Fs sake.
My bro on his H-D 1400 was cussing riding to the BMF as he had taken out his liners from his riding gear " cause it's summer dude" I could hear his teeth chattering over his HD's exhaust Hee Hee
He took a couple of pics of a long time buddy & I at the BMF not bad shots considering he was shakin with cold LOL2

Can I join in the cussing? Got my bike pulled out this morning, went to start it...no luck. The starter was turning but it wasn't catching. It's really disappointing because I rode it Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday without so much as a peep.

I looked at your site, man, that is one clean FZR. Looks good!
Yeah, sometimes Im not sure whats worse, the hot or cold. I refuse to ride without my jacket and pants so I'm drenched by the time I get home in the afternoon. It sucks having sweat drip in your eyes in a helmet... yuck.

I'll take a look at that when I get home. Excuse my ignorance, I've never pulled a plug except to replace them. Should I just pull it out of the block, connect the plug wire back up and press start? Is it that simple?

thats the one good thing about where i live, no humidity, but the altitude makes anything slower up here

So I get home, pull the bike out, and it fires up right away; like there was nothing wrong.
I hate magically disappearing problems.

Yeah Its that simple, only you have to ground the hex part of the spark plug, if you dont ground it youll see no spark...
has anyone tried the NGK cr9eH's its the smae but two spark prongs..
Ive got two parts engines sitting out back, Id like to keep the tranny out of one for a spare, but if you can walk me through takin this thing out, it doesnt mean a whole lot to me so i can let u have it pretty cheap..PM me.

Thats because you cant beat up an cbr, you can bust the plastics off and tumble it hualin a$$, but 9 times outta 10 itta start back up and run the same if not better
, my cousin has a CBR600F3, he races it Fri/saturdays, stunts it monday, wednesday, and friday and rides the piss out of it the rest of the time notta problem on(Im gettin me one next)
