Pirelli's

Post by the_finch »

I'm looking at what tyres to order for my bike for when I finish the Suzuki rim swap, and I'm torn between the Pirelli Diablo Strada (extended mileage) and Pirelli Sport Demon tires. The Stradas are high performance touring tyres, where as the Sport Demons are supposed to be sport tyres with excellent wet weather traction. Here's some vital info:

1. I will be buying a matched pair of tyres, replacing both front and back at the same time
2. Size for the rear is going to be a 150/70R17 (4.5x17 Suzuki rim)
3. Debating between stock 110/70R17 and wider 120/70R17 tire for the front
4. I live in southeast Alabama, where in the summertime, it's a given 30% chance of rain everyday, and it can rain at any moment.
5. I will be occasionally be taking road trips on the bike.
6. I would like to try a trackday eventually, but I don't know hew feasable it is this year.
7. I spelled it "tyres" on purpose, so I could post without incurring the wrath of the Kiwis, Aussies, and Brits for my "incorrect spelling".

Just looking for some opinions/input.
