Rubber sheath on carburetor adjustment screw

I just got a set of carbs, and some K&N velocity stacks off of ebay. I'm going to put in a rebuild kit and jet kit. What I was wondering is, the rubber sheath on the carburetor adjustment screw is falling apart. I was wondering where I could get another one, and how to remove the assembly, and recalibrate if necessary.

You mean the idle adjustment cable? You worried about the cable not having it? I don't think there is any way you could get either end of it off so that you could push some fule line onto it as a new sheath..maybe you can.

Or electrical shrink wrap.

Yeah, the idle adjustment cable. I couldnt figure a way to get it apart. I may have to just use shrinkwrap.

I actually just replaced my idle adjustment cable I thought was broken. The knob would move all over the place....then it turns out the little retaining clip behind the knob had fallen off and that was all. :duh: banghead

Oh well. I got a shiny new one on there now.

If you want it, PM me.
