Short answer is push. You have to completely disassymbol the carbs and pull the slides out. Then they just push out. Not too difficult.

It's pretty simple but it does involve pretty much disassembling the carbs completely. Basically, remove the float bowl, and pop out the float. Then you should be staring at the jet housing. There's a brass retaining nut (5.5 or 6mm if I remember correctly)that is holding down the jet housing-you'll need to remove that and you be able to lift the jet housing up and out of the carb. You then remove the diaphram/slide assmebly that houses the needle from the other side of the carb. Once you have done that you should be able to push or LIGHTLY tap the emulsion tube out.

Make sense? Do yourself a favor and add a clymer manual to the list of things you are buying for the bike.

I just got done putting my carbs back together.
the first carb (same that keeps killing the plug) floats was set at about 23mm and the other three were set to 22mm
I made them all 22mm and checked my emusion tubes with a magnifign glass and I discover NOTHING...they were not warped at all. like new actually.
so I dont know if that float difference could have been the colprit, but Ill find out when I run my bike tomorrow...
