5mph lowside

I was leaving the house this past wednesday when my Rottweiler randomly decided to attack my front wheel for me. I managed to miss him and stay on the driveway, but I hit a patch of pinestraw and the wheels shot out from under me (think stepping on a bar of soap in the shower).

The verdict: I had to straighten the clip-on back out (in relation to the other one), clip-on wasn't bent and the bar end slider wasn't even scratched up. Minor additional scratches to my Yoshimura CF slip-on, and maybe one little scratch on my new NRC peanut cover (that is, after all, why I bought them). Plastic welds in the fairing held (from where I dropped it the second day I owned it), fairing cracked right below the weld, so I have to re-weld it.

Here's my question: after a lowside, what all do you have to check before riding it again? I know to check the oil, gas (carbs emptied until it died), coolant, and battery electrolyte. Is there anything I'm missing that I need to check before riding her again? Last time I forgot to check the battery and it went bad, which took the VR with it, so I sorta want to keep a repeat from happening.

Any advice would help.

Just make sure you're not leaking oil and your brakes work. Other than that I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Everything you listed is pretty much what you need to do. Only Triumph has problems with bikes tipping over and there being major engine damage.

Glad you were not hurt.
