Brake bleeding

Well i got my master the other day and i bought a brake pump kit from auto store. Well i hooked it up and flushed all the fluied till it was coming through clear and no air i think. Checked the brakes and it stopped in the garage by me pushing it. Well took it out today and it is no where near the stopping power it had before is there something im missing or could the master be going bad?

well i found something on the net that basicly said you have to do it like a car pump, hold, open, close, release. Done this a couple times and it improved.

did you buy the mighty vac? Thats the one I use with no problems. Make sure that the hose is below the brake bleeder valve when pumping.

Put a rubber band around the brake lever, pull in lever half way, with the pump on the bleed nipple pull the trigger on the pump. The brake fuild will be pulled throught the mc, then through the brake line, throught the caliber, and out into the pump. I have used the mighty vac pump kit a few times and it has worked every time. I have even bled brakes on a bike that the dealership said they could not do.

I highly suggest anyone considering brake bleeding in the future to buy "speed bleeders". I bought a set for my front brakes on the GSXR and man, did it cut my time down to nothing!

When I bled the front brakes on my FZR, I kept the brake clip-on loose. I removed it and tilted it around and bubbles started appearing since the hoses were at a higher point than the master cylinder. I highly suggest moving it around and working out those last bubbles that may still be trapped.
