stands

Post by ian »

Will any rear or front stand work with the 600? Now that I'm moved out of the house I need something for maintenance. At home my dad and I just used a motorcycle jack and two floor stands (for cars). I no longer have those tools.

I would contact PitBull. They should be able to tell you. You may have to go with a "vintage" stand which is slightly more narrow.

The universal stands work but the fork bottom inserts need to be ground down on the thread side of the axel because the insert stub fowls the axel be put in and makes it hard to get the thread started when reinstalling it.

The standard Pitbulls will work on the Fizzs. You will need the rear stand with the pad adapters if you haven't installed spools. IMO I would go with the front stem stand rather than the fork stand. Then you can service you whole front end without having to come up with another way to support it for work on your forks, front tire repalcements etc. Again you will need the correct sized pin for the Fizz.
