It's time to get all the power I can get out of the Fizz!!!
Any one running Emgo Pod filters on their fizz?
How good are they?
Do you oil them like K&N & Uni filters?
I'm in the process of stepping up to the stage 3 jets, so I'm trying to get some pods. What's your recommendations as far as pods go? Our carbs are 52mm at the top inlet where the box connects to the carbs right?
D.

may I ask why you cant just skip the stage one and 2 of the jet kit and just jump to the third?
and what does the kit even do.
Id like to get individual K&N filters on my bike, but I cant find them, and something tells me that there going to be alittle pricy

Haunter, I realize they have the foam and the other mesh type one. The mesh looking one looks like they would fit perfect under the YZF tank, they look like the K&N pods. Don't know how big the foam ones are.

Shredex,
I don't think you're ready for the stage 3 kit yet. Get your fizz working properly and ride it as is for a while and get use to how it feels. I'm not putting you down our anything, I'm just basing it on our other posts. You have only been riding for over a month now, so just take it easy. Bikes aren't toys, they can kill you bud. Get use to the power you have now, then you can put in a jet kit. When you do, start with stage 1 and notice the difference in the power of the bike, then move up after that. Take your time, live to ride another day!!!

oh, I just wanted to know what the jet kit does. Like, What is its purpose? smoother ride? more mpg? I dont know. seems like a waste of 50 bucks

whan you jet your bike you are allowing more gas into your motor more air + more fuel = more hp

you can't find the filters? Go to K&N.com they let you search for filters......
Should run you close to $80, but most people have had hit or miss results. And changing jet kits is not fun but will most certainly be necessary when changing to pods. And you will notice a difference in your performance curve.

Zero,
Since I was on that other board & this one the misses with pods & jet kits is far higher than hits believe me.
Unless you have untapped patients to be be fiddling with the carbs on a constant basis till the bike runs right leave the pods & kits idea alone. T
The problem lies in that no two bikes are alike and that finding abase line is hard to start with and then tuning for max HP is then more work for less added output.
If going that way find a Dyno-runner and become his best mate and get him to do it .
aint cheap but you will get to ride it more or become disenchanted with the bike for sure with all the carb tear downs required.

Zero,
I only know of one person writing up on this board of using the Flow commander and he thought it was better, trouble is with out a Dyno before and after we are relying on seat of some one elses pants and maybe wishful thinking as to HP improvement.
The F-C he said did cure his throttle stumble and whilst that may be the best about it how are we to KNOW.if anything else is better.
The company selling it I have used for piston coating and that was worth while.

Yeah thats true, you don't really have any numbers to reference it. But aren't dyno's expensive if you don't have the hook up?

That my boy is why I said go make friends it is called social engineering (twisting people till you get what you want)
Round the corner (literally 0.75 miles away) from me is a guy who design's and builds them, met a guy who knew him who lives in Canada now and took it from there. Not a friendship to abuse BUT when the need is there you can always try and press it into service <BG>
