Slip on Poll "Updated with Videos"

Post by Dragon »

As the topic states.

Yoshi versus Vance & Hines SSR2?

Which slip on do you like? Why?

I'm trying to decide between the two, which I have both.

Or you can state which after market slip on you think is the best.

Having a Vance & Hines on my 1000 and hearing the Yoshi on my 600 I prefer the sound of the Yoshi. With that said I have heard a TwoBrothers exhaust on a CBR and it was pretty sweet. Tending to lean toward a dominate rumble of power vs. the loud motogp wake all my neighbors sound.

I have a SSR2 carbon fiber can that I got off e-bay for $90 bucks. It's actually a bolt on,I had to fab up a pice for it to bolt to and welded it to the mid pipe.Any way i like the tone of the V&H,not too loud at lower rpm's but can make the neighbors mad when I open it up :grinnod:
I also like the fact that it's carbon fiber, less weight and heat.I had the polished aluminum SSR2 on my ninja and would burn the crap out of myself if I wasent paying attention.Of cours that was when I would squid it up,I have my lethers now so thats not a problem anymore

Hey well why don't you make a sound clip of both of them on your bike then we can vote which one sounds better. Do a clip at idle, 2.5K, and a rev up then upload them and post a vote! Later we can make a exhaust demo clip section for the WIKI!?

Yeah what about the cobra F1 exhaust? I love mine except now it needs a repack it isn't possible to do that. When I first got it though it sounded sweet. I don't know otherwise. I'm just not a fan of loud and the others seem to be.

Oh mucho better with the Videos

On your bike I liked the Vance and Hines sound but the pipe needs some of that diamond plated pattern stuff if it will hold up to the heat.

they sound almost the same... but the Yoshi seems a little nicer.

You should go for the R6 header and get an FMF or newer Yoshi. The video I posted doesn't really do it justice... but it sounds SO damn good.

:headbang:

if you get an FMF make sure you get the quiet-core insert though, otherwise it's loud as hell.

I run a Yoshi RS3 and it sounds really good .. no too loud and not too quiet..If you wanna start crying get yourself a Yoshi RS5 and rev it up to the redline.. My friend has it on his Ninja and it sounds like a superbike.. just amazing
