The biggest you can go is a 150. A 160 will rub unless it's on a 17" rim.

BT-014. I thought they made the BT-016 in an 18", but I guess not.

Re: How big can I go?
It is a slightly different profile, but I'm sure you will like the 150/60.

Re: How big can I go?
You saw my bike and Im running a 150 on it. You can go 160 but you will have to space out the brake arm.
Re: How big can I go?
hmm...i always assumed that I could go with a 160 on a 17 inch rim but i never knew for sure, what about a 170 on a 17?..and is there a 17 incher that i could just put on and ride? or at least one that I only have to change the rotor or add spacers? Will a yzf600 rear tire swap in directly? I know it's a 160/17, and i think the rotors are the same, or at least the same size. I'll probably check my friends bike in the morning.ragedigital wrote:The biggest you can go is a 150. A 160 will rub unless it's on a 17" rim.
All i want is a 180 on a 17 and i'll be happy, if i have to pull off my swingarm and weld it somehow, i will..i've even thought about a fat boy rear tire if i'm gonna pull it off to weld, but i'd have to modify the front sprocket..sigh

Re: How big can I go?
You can't go any larger than a 160 with a 17" rim. Even with that the brake arm has to be slightly flattened.
To get anything larger, you'd have to go with a YZF600 swingarm conversion. Then I do believe you can fit a 180, but you won't be able to use the rear fender.
A YZF600 rear rim is too larger for the stock swinger.

Re: How big can I go?
I don't know about you guys and not going more bigger then 150. I've been running mine 160-60 the whole time I've had my bike! The sportmax dunlop had no clearance issue what so ever the continental on other hand rubbed on the brake arm so it differs on what brand tire you get and you can swap out that torque arm for a different one
