replacing clutch cable

Hi everyone,
My clutch cable snapped off (handle bar side) and I ordered an OEM replacement.
While researching on if there is a FZR only special process in replacing the clutch cable, I came across this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KhRtMtoxUc
This vid is not about FZR but Thundercat however they share same clutch cover. At 6:41, the rider has socket inserted into clutch actuator and he is holding it while inserting cable into handlebar.
Do I need to do this on my FZR 600? If so, how do I perform this?
Attached pic is the actuator I'm talking about.
