Lugage Rack

Post by buzzawak »

I am planning on doing some touring on my trusty FZR.
So thinking about mounting a top-box and maybe some hard saddlebags.

I am wondering what have other done for the mounting rack?

http://tinyurl.com/gsgkkbs <-Ready built and still new available (but not really cheap)....but you can even get a rack from another model and make it fitting with a bit rewelding or try to get a used rack somewhere ;)

Thanks TomcatMJ,
Ventrua makes them as well but I think over priced for what is a bit of bent steel.

I do have a second sub-frame, so am considering making a dedicated rack build in to the frame and just swap over the standard sub frame when I don't need to carry luggage.
I need design ideas !

I've got a Rentec rack I could sell you but would cost a fortune to post it to you.

Thanks Limey but the postage would be to much.

Postage from the UK is surprisingly reasonable. Limey, have you priced it up?

No Sir, I'd need to box it and weigh the final package to get an idea of cost.
