need help with tank I.D. .. FZR, Thundercats, ?

Picked up an '89 FZR600 today, which came with a very, very nice tank .. I'm unsure of the model, but it's a steel tank, not a shell or cover. Complete, just a couple dings, but before I find it a new home, need to know what it came from. Anyone have any thoughts? I didn't find a p/n on it anywhere. Any help appreciated, can send more pics if anyone wants them. Waukesha/Milwaukee WI area.

i'm thinking fzr 1000 genesis 87-89. it's the same shape as my 89 Exup, but the fuel tap is older in style.
