Can anyone please help me with the paint name or code of the silver used on the frame of a 1993 or 94 FZR600.

Should be the same Colour as the adonized Aloy-Frame of a FZR 400 3BF (not paint-coated, directly adonized) and for the lower Rails i used RAL 9006 (white-alloy) which nearly but not exactly seems to fit:

The Frame itself was not repainted, only the formerly scratched and rusty lower Rails:

On the other hand, maybe a short question given by mail to the guys from this shop may help to get the proper code for the exact colorcode:

Many thanks for the comments Tomcatmj.
Unfortunately it appears that the frame and swing arm on my FZR600 are of painted steel, not anodised aluminum alloy.
From Wikipedia: "The Yamaha FZR600 is a sports motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 1989 and 1999. It was the successor to the FZ600 and was replaced by the YZF-600R. It had a steel Deltabox frame and swingarm, similar in appearance to the alloy Deltabox frame introduced three years earlier on the 1WG FZR400."
I am wanting to just repaint the left swing arm outer surface which has suffered (via previous owner) what appears to be acid burns from a boiled battery, rather than a complete repaint of the entire frame. So my search continues for an exact match in colour.
In the Bodyshop & Paintbooth Forum I did pick up a thread with a recommendation for Honda Heather Mist as being as a dead match - but another member said they tried it on their bike and the colour was a little off! So my search continues.
Thank you also for the link to Motorradlack - they seem to have a very extensive list of Yamaha paints and I will certainly ask them if they can help.

Yes, the 600 has defintely a steelframe and steelswingarm, but if you place a 400 near a 600 the color looks quiet similar...may be worth a test with 2 spraycans and a steelcan...1 can of white basecoat (result differs if you use other colored Basecoat, white basecoat gives the brightest results at the end) and 1 can of RAL 9006 sprayed on a steelcan for testing instead of directly spraying on the frame and then compare the result when the paint is dry. I used Duplicolor / Motip Spraycans from next "Baumarkt" (don't know if toolsmarket would be correct name for this kind of shop in english speaking countries
) for my refurbished Rails

I can see where Tomcat is coming from on with his earlier reply.
He painted his 400 engine cradle bars to very nearly replicate the original finish.
The paint colour for the 400 and the 600 engine cradles are identical and are the same colour originally as the 600 chassis.
You will have great difficulty finding any paint that is an exact match to repaint one side of a swinging arm.
It has been weathered for over 20 years and oxidisation and sunlight will have taken its toll.
Even if the original factory paint was available, it would now no longer match your frame or s/a exactly.
It may be possible to have a paint factor take a colour test of your machine and blend a mix / fill an aerosol but they will not guarantee an exact match.
Far better to remove the arm and repaint it totally if you wish it to blend in as much as possible.
Servicing the s/a bearings and linkage will have its own benefits when the arm is removed for repaint.

There is only one issue witz RAL 9006 (white Aluminium/Alloy) and RAL 9007 (grey Aluminium/Alloy which fits to the Decals silver from a black/blue/silver 3BF): Its not so strictly standardized as the other RAL Colors so that there are bigger differences depending on the Paints Manufacturer than between the other RAL Colors, thats why i said it might be a good idea to do a test on a steelcan or any other piece of steeltrash before spraying the real target

Sorry for the delayed response -
Many thanks to both Tomcat and Willandrip for the followup comments.
A spray painter friend of mine tells me the colour is just called Silver, and the actual look of the finish will be a function of the flake size used in these metallic finishes. Not sure what to make of that re a solution. Perhaps this is why the colour code/name is not published by Yamaha - the difficulty in specifying flake size for duplicating the appearance perhaps?
I take your point Willandrip regarding the likely fading of the colour due to age. Fortunately in my case the bike was garaged for 18 years (its a 1993 and only 11,000km on the clock!) so hasn't seen too much sunlight even in sunny Sydney, Australia! (photo attached).
But I think you're right when you suggest getting it colour matched by a paint shop - I can get this done locally and put into an aerosol can for around A$50. It should therefore come with some surety of a match.
Tomcat - I think what I describe above is the best option since I can easily spend this amount on trying a couple of different off-the-shelf colours and perhaps still not have an acceptable match. But I'm still going to see what your friends at Motorradlack can suggest. Why Yamaha can't provide these in aerosol cans for touchups is beyond me.
Thanks again guys,
Regards

The frame color is "Competition Silver" or 00T9 or COMS

I used Duplicolor Silver Frost BFM0341 (from an autoparts store) with very good results after re-welding some tabs on my frame downtubes.

Peugeot 'aluminium' worked for me- as used on the Pug 206 cabriolets etc around 2004.

Thank you John - I'll take a look at that. But I'm really trying to get away with just a spray touch up of the left swing arm and so its got to be a dead match for the rest of the frame which of course is exposed on the side. But worth a shot.
