Does anybody have a picture of the lower rear fairing brackets(bottom near the exhaust) assembled and how they mount?? I finally found some used fairings for my bike and I figured out how to mount everything but that area.I've looked at the fiche and think I have the correct brackets but my tabs on the fairing may be missing there,I've done a search and didn't find anything,Thanks in advance.

There are not any tabs on the fairing panels, only holes with rubber grommets.
The brackets have a captive nut that the fairing fixing bolt screws into.

I have no better picture of the brackets fitted.

This is a 400 but it uses the same brackets and bottom panels, the rear bracket is much shorter than the pic shows
(shadows have distorted it)

Thanks for the pics, hard to see the area I'm talking about though.Parts 43 and 44 are the ones I'm having trouble with.
In your pic I also see a screw just in front of your shifter, there's no hole in my fairing there nor a recess for a screw.
The fairings are stock not aftermarket, all the other holes and mounts are working for me except the area where parts 43 and 44
attach to the fairing and the bike.

The screw just below and forward of the shifter fixes to part 43 in the schematic drawing.
Obviously 44 is the R/H side and fixes ditto.

I do not think there is a difference between Euro and US fairings.

Do your panels join together underneath the shock linkage at the rear ?

I have seen damaged fairings just cut short and left to flap about with no fixings.

You need to post a pic.

I will get a pic and post it.And yes they do have holes to join together just like yours under the shock linkage.I think the reason i don't have the hole for the screw under your kickstand is because there were some repairs done to the fairing at that spot. The pic you just posted helps alot, thanks

This shows the inner of a R/H side panel....... it's the only one of that side I have that shows the fixing holes.

Here are some pics of what i'm dealing with. There were no brackets on the bike when I bought it.I bought a box of parts and lucky for me there were some brackets in the box.The one pic has the remaining brackets I have left after mounting the lowers. Not liking the orange very much :yuck: but I have to paint all the plastics anyway.

Top left in pic. is exhaust header pipes hanger .... bolts on near the bottom shock linkage....the rubber bush goes to the headers...the other end to frame. Pic shows another model but will give an inclination.... the bracket is usually inboard of the frame and only used on genuine headers.;
Image

The other two parts look very similar to brackets that hold the front brake hoses in position on the front fork legs.
They are missing a rubber sleeve if this is so.

The UK bikes have chrome ones without the long part of the bracket with the two holes.

No wonder you had problems lining up the fairing panel brackets.... most of the area where the fixings go is shot away....
was it in a battle with a Messerschmitt. ?

It almost looks like it :yikes:
Actually I was grinding down that area the other day to get rid of all the excess fiberglass and body filler someone put there, looked like they applied it with a brick.I found the missing mounting hole,it was fiber-glassed over.I ground the area down to the abs to do a proper repair(abs glue and ground up abs pipe).I'm obviously missing the bracket that goes there but I can fab something up easy enough, actually the rest of the lower fairings aren't in bad shape at all and won't take too much work other than getting rid of that orange color. The tank cover was cracked pretty bad and I have a brand new one(fiberglass) Ive fitted, and the side covers are missing some of the mounting posts that go into the rubber grommets on the frame.I picked up the bike pretty cheap and got it running it was laid over once and the cowling stay was bent up a little but I was able to straighten it out,I'll post some pics before and after the paint when I get to that point, thanks for your help.

Well done....doing bodywork is a shit job but it transforms the bike.
