Can you ID for me? Oil leak

I just picked up a 92 FZR discovered a small leak from the left side. Went to tighten this thing up and it broke off. Broke off easily I think it was superglued or something...

anyway luckily I was able to get the rest of it out. What is this thing called? Purpose? It's actually the one on the other side, but I am assuming they are the same on both sides. (?) Thanks !

No, it's threaded and has an o-ring on it.
