1997 Fzr 600 - installed 1999 yzf 600r motor with cooling qu

Post by Savage99 »

I have a 1997 Fzr 600 project bike that I am working on. I have a 1999 YZF 600 R motor that I put into the '97 Fzr frame. The radiator and thermostat I have are from the 1997 motor. My questions are:

Will the 1999 yzf 600 r radiator fit into the frame of the Fzr? If so does anyone have a radiator, thermostat, from a '99 for sale?

Can I take the pipe from the 97 water pump and put it on the '99?

Is there anywhere I can find a manual for the 1999 yzf 600 r motor?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a YZF radiator for sale. It will fit the FZR with some brackets you'll have to make for mounting since it's curved and not flat like the FZR. The fzr pipes I do not think will work. The yzf's run across the motor with the thermostat running sideways on the right side of the motor and then up to the external filler cap. The FZR thermostat would work but you would need the tubing from the YZF....possibly.
