Need help please

I just bought 1992 fzr600, it's my first bike and I'm also new to riding. Today when i started it up, I notice once I sat on it and had it upright, a heard a noise from the right side. It sounded like something was inside the engine. The noise was louder when I put all my weight on the seat. When I put the bike back on the kickstand, the noise went away. I really don't want my first bike to become a money pit, so any advice or insight is greatly appreciated.

Sit on it with engine running as you have done and pull the clutch lever fully in.
Does the rattle lessen ?

Sorry about the late reply, working two jobs doesnt leave too much free time. Yeah, I had a mechanic look at it and he said it is in fact the clutch. Now what exactly is broken inside I have no idea. I know I can pick up a clutch kit from online but if need be, where can I find a whole clutch assembly?

You can get an entire clutch assembly from a dealership ($$$!!!) or eBay or one of the fellows here parting out. Before you do that, however, find out what exactly is broken - replacing your clutch basket when you've snapped a friction plate would be kinda silly ...

The clutches on these bikes are VERY easy to work on. Pulling and replacing a clutch pack is a "getting your hands greasy 101" kind of project.

The idea is that it's the pressure plate cause I was able to get it into all six gears but it just sounded horrible and I had very little play in the clutch handle before and afterwards there was exponentially more play. Nothing is locked up either because I was able to put in neutral when the bike was off

Time to get eyes on. You don't even need to drain the oil - put the bike on the sidestand, slide a piece of cardboard under the bike to catch the drips and pull the clutch cover.

I'm getting eyes on now and i realized something that is so idiotic it's embarissing. The bike had almost no oil. I'm still going to inspect the clutch to see what was banging around though

Easy fix then.
You were lucky with the oil; mind you, the oil light should have indicated if the level was critical.
The red warning light should illuminate when the starter button is pressed and go out immediately the engine starts.
This is the way to show that the bulb or warning circuit is operating correctly and if it does not light up at starting, the
cause should be immediately investigated. It is an oil level light ;it does NOT indicate pressure like a automobile.

Do you know how to check the oil on these bikes? Bike level, oil half way up the sight glass on the right hand side of the bike? I usually put my bike on a rear stand or sit on the bike with a mirror in my hand that I hold low to check the oil. The second method is not easy but doable.
