I ordered a new "Pilot air jet" 132.5, what I was sent was something that looks more like the main jet but it was a 132.5

if i'm not mistaken, the pilot air jet doesn't go in the carb under the bowls (with the starter, pilot, floats etc) but in one of the two spots in the top of the carb (Near where the slides are) the 132.5 i recieved looked more like a main jet and it was far too big to fit in one of those slots. i told them they sent me the wrong part.. am I wrong about this? 132.5 is the pilot air jet am i correct? this confuses me

Yes indeed ;it seems from your description you ordered the correct part.
However; did you order it by part number ?. If so ; no real excuse as to why a fuel jet has been sent.
If you ordered by description ; The problem here is a misunderstanding on how the part was described.

Both answers are further complicated by the fact that I believe the part to be NLA.
It is shown as obsolete and unavailable on most online sites.

There is a part with a very similar description and part number ; item number 12 on this page; notice how only the 3G2
prefix is different. This is probably what you have been sent.

You might get the jet from a Mikuni dealer rather than a Yamaha supplier; the trouble is the cross referencing,
Otherwise someone on here will have a used one from a set of scrap carbs.

Yeah I guess that's what happened, by description.
I'm fuming because I'm out 60 dollars, they sent me both the wrong bolts for my carb bowls AND 4 of the wrong jets
and they refuse to take a return on the jets because they just don't take returned jets I suppose...?

Anywho, thanks for the response I appreciate it

You need to order by part number; it is very easy to source the fiche on line .
No returns accepted is probably because the dealer had to source the parts from a main stockist and not
from his own shelves, He would more than likely be stuck with the returned part for a very long period.
Try the sales/wanted section for replacements.
