should I buy another fizzer
I seen a 1997 far 600 near me. its complete but not running. the guy bought it from someone wrecked and they cracked the peanut case and the stater doesnt engage but it just whines.it comes with all plastics, and two new tires. I would love to get it but my previous fzr is in my shop stripped down. o was planning on getting some stuff powder coated but I when I saw that deal I'm having second thoughts. plus to finish my current build, I need some parts which the fzr 600 that is for sale has everything I need. what should I do.

I hate to say it but only you can answer that question. If it helps any, do what puts you in a better position financially in the end.

If the price is right and you need some parts off it to help complete tour build then I wouldn't hesitate to pick it up. With my past 20 years in the motorcycle rebuilding/restoration/custom experiece, I just way the basic parts cost used, shipping costs if trying to find piece by piece, and my TIME vs the opp of killing alot of birds in one shot.
I have found that FZR's still have a pretty decent cult following and someone is always looking for some parts. I always figure that if I can get back what I pay for it in parts after I take what I want then it's a no brainer. Of course. it may not come back all at once but it's still less time consuming to get the stuff you need in one fell swoop and then list and sell off the rest over some period of time as that doesn't involve half the time/effort imo barring any capital $$$ issues.
I bought a '96 FZR 600 with a bad starter and missing lower plastic here in central Fl for $450 3 weeks ago right after buying and swapping in a new 6500 mile motor in my '91. I just wanted the modded nice r6 full exhaust with the SS R6-3 slip-on off it which is a $200+ value imo. So now I have a '96 with my stock headers and my old Yohi slip-on needing a $35 starter. I don't know what else it may need from here but I'm sure I can my $250 back out of it if not throw a few more bucks at it and have a decent $1200 ride. I will only make $$$ at this point.
Hope this helps in some way and sorry it was long winded!
