help with gauges

Post by Ham »

Hey every one, I'm new to the site and have just got my first fzr! any way I have to do a few things to it for a roady, fork seals, it needs a new cluster and I'm putting the r6 v/r on it for peace of mind. so I've ordered this cheap clusterhttp://www.aliexpress.com/item/KOSO-RX1 ... 62521.html and I'm sure I read somewhere that theres a howto on here, just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction? thanks in advance. (i'll put pics of the bike up when I figure it out lol)

help with gauges

No, but I am interested to see how it works for you. I have some cracks on the indicator lights on mine and was going to look for a replacement. Show some pictures.

Good luck!

I'm not the expert here, but I seem to recall there might be a problem with the tach since the FZR uses a "wasted spark" ignition, which somehow screws things up.

try googling it.

Beautiful gauges!

Well I got my gauge the other day and fitted it up today, got the tachometer working no worrie as well as indicators high beam, temp ect, there a neutral light on the gauge but no wire coming out to connect it to, and the one as yet unused wire from the gauge lights a red "p" on the cluster when grounded. Eg connected to neutral switch when in neutral . Any suggestions as to what a red p could mean??? I thought maybe oil pressure although it's connected via another wire as instructed. Hmmmm.. Any way here's a link to a quick vid of the cluster on the bike

Perhaps - Parking Brake indicator? These gauges are used with ATVs and custom cages, as well as sport bikes.
