I bought this as someone's left over project about two years ago and recently decided to get started on it. Here are a few before pictures:

Decide to powder coat the frame, rims, brake bar, swing arm, sub frame, and a few other parts:

I have a little more to do on the calipers, then I can begin plumbing the new brake lines. Rear sprocket is due to arrive tomorrow. Then I will route the wiring through the frame.

I have a couple of last items to be powder coated. Then I can reassemble the bird cage, the headlight, speedo, etc.

I do have blue dot calipers that I was thinking about using, but not sure yet.

Then I will start cleaning and rebuilding the carburetors before I jump back to the motor.

I plan to paint the plastics early in the spring. Not sure of color yet, I am thinking a gloss black or a silver.

Thanks. It's been something to keep me busy and out of the cold this winter.

New pads should be here tomorrow. Last few pieces (bird cage & intake tubes) due back from powder coaster tomorrow too. Brake lines are plumbed, but no fluid yet. Wiring harness will be routed, then attaching head light and speedo to bird cage this weekend. Will post photos soon...

The bike is looking great. My only suggestion would be to do yourself a favor and ditch the stock shock for an R6 upgrade kit. If you're spending all this time and money on a rebuild you might as well enjoy riding it after you're done. That's hard to do with the pogo stick rear.
