Okay, so I did some investigation and found the guide under the chain tensioner was cracked and wedged together. It hasn't fallen or crumbled, but cracked in two pieces. I need another one almost imediatly, I use the bike as my daily driver and my other option is a 8mpg truck. I have a 45 mile commute to and from work. I have looked for it online to no prevail, if anyone knows where I can get one let me know asap please. Or if someone has an extra one laying around ill buy it!
Thanks in advance!

Ok, found the upper chain guard. Also known as chain damper #2 for anyone else looking at the same issue. Partzilla is great, just have to click through a few diagrams to find the right one, but if someone is in the US and has a spare I could purchase let me know asap before I buy one online tomorrow.
Thanks

Okay, so now that no one has answered I found all my answers. Didn't like what I found, but found it. If anyone ever wears out the chain guard on the intake side, the one held down by two Allen head bolts, you have to split the case to get in there. Its not hard as long as you do it right and FOLLOW THE MANUAL, with the exception that bolt #20 does not exist.
Thanks for all the help guys... O wait that's right, 3 posts total and there all me.

I have my engine pulled because a resto I'm doing. I'm debating whether or not to split the cases and fresh it up a bit with 20,000 miles. but I'm scared to touch those damn Allen bolts used to hold down the heads. you have any trouble with them?

No, easier than I expected. Just have the long Allen's, T-handle worked like a champ. You have to pull your clutch and oil pump to get to #19 and #20does not exist if you look at it inthe manual. There are three points on the upper half you can use a rubber mallet to tap on one by one till it comes apart evenly. Good luck man, my bike runs a lot better now that I cleaned itup in there. There wasn't too much gunk built up but made a difference for me.
