I am in the process of tearing my bike apart. I am about to paint the frame and the engine as well as add some new fork seals. I know and the upcoming months say next year I will probably get a new bike perferably a bigger bike. But I also was throwing the 660 idea around and I want to know what can the 660 compete with. If it is able to compete with a 750 or 1000 I will be content with the 660 and forget buying a new a bike. I just want to know where will it stand against other bikes.

For what - drag strip? Blue book value? Tight track, the banks at Daytona, the local freeway ramps?
The FZR chassis is no longer competitive even at club levels against modern bikes, but it is still far more capable than any street rider should be trying to use. The 660 plant isn't as powerful as an R6, but has more bottom end. You aren't going to out-pull a litre bike in a head to head shoot out, but against a comparably skilled rider, you could probably spank him on a technical track.
What do you want to do?

I wanted to drag race a little. on the time I'm not drag racing I would be driving it normally. I just want to know in the end is it better to 660 the engine with other modes or get a bigger bike.I was thinking it would be cheaper to build a fast bike than buying one.

Buy a 1000. There's no replacement for displacement.
