So ive gotten a lot of advice and help that was priceless on here, thanks to everyone who helped!
My FZR is still far from done, but compared to the mess it was when i bought it its 100% better.

Also can someone tell me if the swing arm is the stock one or yzf? I have yzf front and rear tire, sprockets, and forks. but not 100% positive on the swing arm.

You have a YZF 600R rearend and a YZF R6 front end. You also have the stock FZR brake calipers on that R6 front end and rubber lines. For your safety please replace the lines next. Those rubber lines are much too old to still be on a bike.

I dig it. I'm sure I will slaughter this because I didn't google it but speigler is a really great stainless steel brand. Thatkid can hook you up with those. I will recommend an r6 blue spot upgrade too.

what steps did you take to paint your engine

tclayton9, mild abrasive wash, sanded it, wash again, high temp prime and paint.

Blue spots / blue dots = early R6 calipers; piston plugs were anodised blue.

Nate - is that an R6 fork, or YZF750? He's got a speedo cable there ...

No, rebuilt it and painted it after i put it back together. Taped off what needed to be taped and painted it.

ya, i got the paint from a local dealer. 1500 degree paint. I was going to use the spray can stuff from the parts store but decided to spend the extra money and pick up some good paint.

No worries about the questions, anything i can do to help just let me know.

OK. my last questions. you used a spray gun or spray paint. how did you clean the engine before painting and where can I find the paint

I went to a local went to a local mom and pop paint shop and bought the paint. The Scot wash was from a metal shop in town used specifically for aluminum and steel but should be at home depot type places then used soap nd water after to make sure all the acid was out of the small crevices in the block.
