rain in the rain?

Can you ride fzr's in the rain. One of my friends said that riding in the rain won't harm anything. Is this true.

Yes. I actually can't think of any street-legal bikes that are unable to be operated in the rain - I mean, what happens if you're out riding and a sudden cloud-burst comes by? You can't jump off and stuff it in your pocket ...

You do have to modify your riding style and technique to account for the reduced traction. Smooth on the gas, smooth on the brakes, smooth on the bars - and be VERY aware of paint stripes, sewer covers, and streetcar tracks. They will dump you on your face so fast you could be looking at the sky before you realise what happened.

I can ride FZRs in the rain! ... so long as they have decent tires.

I have been caught in all out thunder storms when riding. Did nothing to bike besides washed it off, and what others said you do have to modify your riding style.

rain in the rain?

Rode my 94 600 every day for over a year in Florida where afternoon showers are a given, there were stretches of weeks at a time that I'm not sure I ever dried out but the bike never failed. Using dielectric grease on your plug boots isn't a bad idea but it'll run without it. Plus +1 on the riding advice, puddles and deep rain can hide paint and piles of debris as well, slides are no fun and I'be gotten lucky more times than one person should.
