LED blinker issue

I recently put LED blinkers front and back on my FZR 600. Now my blinkers don't blink. They flicker very, very, quickly. I unplugged one light and plugged in my old bulb and it worked fine. I assume I need a new blinker module. Does anyone know have a aprt number or know where I can look for one?

You don't need a new relay. I'm trying to find the link but haven't yet. You need to put resistors in line to the new signals. I'll keep looking for the link. But anyway you need to start saving up for your big purchase of...... 3$.

Edit: anyone know where Naeslas'big write up went to that had the VR upgrade an the manual fan switch and the integrated blinkers and the led resistors?

LED indicators do not load the "blinker box" sufficiently and yeas guys do stick resistors in the line BUT_
resistors get hot an produce enough heat to burn flesh/plastic et al.

If you search EBAY you will find "blinker boxes" for specifically made for LED indicators , they do cost more than 2 resistors but are far less hassle safety wise.

Word of caution as per usual 3 pin relays do differ in pin outs so make sure you get one suitable for YAMAHA

I agree that mine does get hot but only when the blinker is on obviously. So I wrapped it in heat shrink tape and then also the heat resistant conduit. But check out what yg put up there.

i recently replaced all of my signals with LED and had the same problem i thought the same thing at first but went to radio shack and spent $8 on 2 resistors wired them in to the rear mounting them on the tail frame using hose clamps for now. they have been that way for a few months. they do get hot as crap but they are away from any plastics and they only get hot when the turn signals are on.

Go with yamaha Georges suggestion and buy an LED rated signal flasher for your bikes, they are east to install and then the load doesn't matter IE. no need for heat causing resistors. On yet another forum when dealing with the LED issue to drop any power draw from XS11 Yamaha's electrical system the LED drops power consumption but adding the resistor puts the power draw right back to where it was to trigger the relay. I know most of you are looking for the cool look of the LED's but if you just go the extra step you also drop load off of the alternator as well, a bonus when dealing with older charging systems.
