Hello People i am looking for any suggestions of where to start looking with a little problem i have, I have just finished refreshing my Fzr 600 1990, I have done the following

New tyres front and back
new wheels bearings all round
droped the shock and swingarm regreased all needle bearings shock is standard but shows no signs of leaks
front forks have been rebuilt with 15 w fork oil
I checked for any play etc in headstock seemed fine.

Now for the issue, when effectivly coasting along it weaves/wobbles like the front end is ossolating under brisk accleration and decleration is seems fine but plodding along it feels like it wants to plant you in a ditch.

any ideas welcome

cheers

Phil

Your head bearings may be notchy. Jack the front end up, then see if the wheel flops freely side to side. Mine was doing the same thing; when I checked it stopped in three different places!

Overtightening of the steering head (headstock) bearings gives your symptoms.
(The steering does not follow smoothly but rather gets to a point and then overcorrects; just like a wobbly shopping trolley wheel by way of comparison)

I have been out and I think the steering head bearings are the culprits when turning lock to lock there seems to be a "notch" so have ordered some bearings

thanks for the replys
