Need paint ideas
Hey guys, so if you read my other post you would know that I'm repainting my bike, if you haven't then.... well, I'm painting my bike . The thing is I'm not sure what color/scheme/design (or whatever you want to call it) to paint on my bike. So I need your guys help in deciding on what color/design to put on my bike. I need Ideas haha.
This is what I have so far, anything else I can do to improve it? Anything I can/need to change?
-Thanks guys!

Sometimes less is more. as far as paint I think that's perfect, but some small red accents, like maybe painting the gas cap red wouldn't hurt. Comes down to what you think looks good though.

I like that a lot.
It needs something red to tie it together on the Gas Tank Cover.. Maybe a Red Yamaha Logo or something small but noticeable

That looks just great......red tuning forks on the tank would finish it off

Agree. Looks great now. But the red tuning forks or red "YAMAHA" on the tank cover would really tie in that red.GreyImport wrote:

Yeah, I was thinking of putting something on the gas tank, just didn't know what. ( I might remove the stripe going diagonally and replace it with something else idk). I will definitely put a red "YAMAHA" on the gas tank! What do you guys think of red pinstriping on the wheels? Too much?Bandon wrote:Agree. Looks great now. Whoa, those look really good! I definitely need to get rim tape, and for $8ish a set it's not bad!

Yea good value.....plenty of colors, different widths ,with or without the logo (I ordered 1 "set" with the Yamaha on it so it would appear once on each side of each rim.)
They come in sets of 4 strips for each side and u get a spare set also in case u mess up....but really easy to stick on!
Heres that wheel beforehand ....
And the front....

Woah!! How did you get your wheels so clean? I'm trying to clean mine off but, it doesn't look as white as those. Did you put new paint(which ones don't flake)? Powder-coat?

Re: Need paint ideas
The front I managed to scrub clean ......its not perfect close up but I assume its the original paint so was happy with the result.
The rear I just could not remove the ingrained grease and oil and chain lube or wateva....so I sanded them back and just did a quick rattle can job as I needed to have the bike running for rego inspection.......when they start flaking or such and its new tyre time Ill be doing the powdercoat thing I think.
