I have 95 fzr 600 fox eye, my query is, my brake light works when I press front brake but not when I use back brake, any ideas? Is this normal and is it an MOT fail?

Any suggests would be greatly appreciated

Behind the foot brake lever there should be a spring that connects to the light switch. If the spring is connected then the switch needs to be adjusted. There are two nuts on top and below the bracket. Unscrew the bottom one a bit then screw the top one to tighten it back down and check if its working.

Yeah, these things are annoying - if they aren't NOT working, they like to jam ON, so you still have no effective brake signal ... Give the little plunger in the middle (at the end of the spring) a spritz of WD40 when you get in there, keep things moving nicely.

I have the same issue but reverse. Light works on pedal but not front lever. Any typical causes? I also have a single 7" headlight the PO installed. Could this have anything to do with it? I'm new to bikes so I don't really know where to start. Any suggestions?

The front switch itself rarely fails, but is vulnerable to having the push-on connectors yanked off. Make sure the silly thing is still plugged in!

OK I'll check that when I get home and report back. Thanks.
