Hi
Unless you are racing a seriously tuned engine a Kevlar setup is overkill= overpriced/

I have used Barnett after market for past 20 -30 years, only once had a problem by not pre-soaking the plates first for 24 Hours at a drag meet where the engine was probably giving out almost double it original HP.
Still have the "grenaded " clutch & case fragment scars on my right thigh !

OEM OEM OEM

Cheaper and better than aftermarket. They work well EVERY time.

If you need more hold than stock, add .030" washers on top of the springs.

Well, no.

The OEM is 9x) $6 (Friction plate-3XP-16321-00-00)...$54

5x) Springs 90501-227E0-00 @ $5 per....$25..that's $79 total;

Neither barnett or EBC supply steels in teh FZR applications. I know the description will say "friction plates, steels and springs" but if you open the FZR specific description there will be small print that tells you this.

So, if you need steels (unlikely) you only have OEM as a choice anyway.

so, apples to apples, oranges to oranges OEM saves you at least 49$

Ohh, and Barnett DOES sell steels fro the FZR.

they are

401-90-078045. They are $9+ per(need 8x) , so add another $72 to the Barnett "clutch kit"

And, I was worng about EBC. They DO sell kits with steels....best price I see is $168.

So, OEM= 3XP-16321-00-00 Plate Friction..9x @ $6 ...................$54
131-16324-00-00 PLATE, CLUTCH (steels) 8x @ $9........$72
90501-227E0-00 SPRING, COMPRESSION 5x @ $5.........$25
_________
$151

That's $17 under EBC and still pretty much $50 shy of Barnett.

And, like i said before, the chances of needing steels is low unless you have seriously abused your clutch thru a couple sets of frictions

LOL
So if I got a EBC SRK KIT with frictions plates, steels, and springs for $118.ish is that a good price?
I went to cycle gear and price matched them with jc cycles for 139.89 but they couldnt compete with them , how ever they said they could do 148.ish. i decided to go with them becuase the girl that worked thier offered me a $20.00 off coupon if i bought more then 75 dollars of product, so im paying 118 and some change out the door!
GOOOOOD STEEEL IMO lol
Thanks guys, i really appricate all your help! thanks razor for the price qoutes helps me for future reference
