1995 fzr600 water?

Post by DLS1694 »

Okay, I'm new to the forums, so first off, hello :)

Second, I have a 1995 fzr600 and I was out for a ride today and the heat was about 97 degrees. When I got home and pulled into the garage and shut the bike off I noticed about a dog piss sized puddle of just water underneath of my bike seeming to leak from the bottom of the case on the left side. I was thinking maybe the water pump just ran too hard and that was the excess? It's never done this before and I havent been noticing any problems with the bike or temperature issues. I just want to make sure I'm okay.

Mechanical experience I have about a year in motorcycle tech school. Thanks in advance!

Chances are that it is overflow from your coolant reservoir. Just trace the overflow line down to see. The FZR has a small radiator for cooling and it will overheat pretty darn quick in hot weather.
