Religiously check eBay or peruse the sales sections here and the archives. I was lucky enough to buy an Airtech one from target30.

PIMPMYFZR had it right. You just need to make sure you get a hugger that will fit your (I'm assuming stock FZR) swingarm. The diameter of the tire is not that important. As far as the width, the Airtech style hugger should cover a 160 width, and even if you got a narrower one, as long as it cleared the tire it would just be a matter of personal preference.

(I've had a little idea in the works in the hugger department, and if it comes to fruition, I'll post pics/offer them for sale, as I've decided not to install a hugger on my bike)

Haven't heard anything in a while. Are you still working on this project or you gave up?

Alas, I've been mad busy. I haven't given up though. I have the first mold done and I need to lay up the glass but I need to get the swingarm off the race bike so I have something to mock it up on really quick like. I may find some time next week though. I have an extra day off for the holiday so we'll see. The scopper has taken a majority of the time lately but I really want to get these things going. Along with a low profile crash cage. Alas, so many wants....

the airtech hugger would probably hold a 170 tire if the rim would fit it .. only thing about the airtech hugger is you have to drill a mount whole on right side of your swingarm by the brake line so it mounts up. Becareful some companies out there sell them huggers and just KEYWORD the fzr in their pages, ive bought one before and not only was it some cheap abs plastic/foam like product but also cracked during shipping , the company would not listen to return so i left them a bad feed back he left me one blahblah, but in my mind nothing cleans up th rear of the bike like th hugger .. im trying to find one for the yzf swingarm but only uk has nice ones and their in 2-300 pric range so ill have to wait

Hi,
well since I now have the 3en swinger I hope I can find a hugger for it :whistle

But as per me I decided to get a £5 yzf /R1 2000 rear hugger which is WAY too wide for the 3en or the 1WG or the 3HE swing arms but since I have discovered the power of Plastex I am going to cut the sucker down & weld it to suit.
screwy

Yeah, I know how that is. I've been checking out the scooper thread, and I was saying to myself "Kid is one BMF." :udaman
