Re: Far 600 rebuild
Nice! Any update on the body work from Air Tech? I can't wait to see the final product.
I just drained the oil this evening, didn't feel like doing a whole lot seeing as though I get to work fri/sat/sun... That was the first step of my tear down. Need to figure out the easiest way to drop the engine.

Re: Far 600 rebuild
The fairings still haven't shipped. In expecting to get an email within the next week on them though.
Dropping the engine really is not that difficult. If you already have the fuel tank removed, makes it easier as well. The worst part about dropping the engine is really taking everything else off first. The radiator and associated hoses, the coils and wires, the lower subframe, then its just a matter of supporting it and removing the bigger bolts in the back. I removed the engine solo, and reinstalled it solo. Be sure to support the bike on Jack stands as the kick stand is attached to the lower subframe that must be removed to lower the engine out

Re: Far 600 rebuild
Oh, but I did receive this list of parts in the last two weeks:
New led rear turn signals
New voltage regulator
New mirror/ front turn signal combo
Grips
And my replacement front brake master cylinder showed up today.
Mrcycles really took their sweet time to get to me. They received my bad one on the 13th. And I receive the new one on the 28th? Come on guys.

Re: Far 600 rebuild
I was reviewing it some in the manual. I think I'm going to try to get my hands on a paper copy, this digital copy is awful! I'm looking into getting a motorcycle specific jack, I'll need one when I have to change the tires on my Victory anyway. It'll definitely make this process easier.
It always feels good to get the little things in the mail, I feel like a kid when I hear my doorbell ring :lol Mrcycles? won't being using them! Not unless I have to I suppose... ridersdiscount is awesome, they are a site supporter on the other forum I'm on and give me great deals. Check them out!

If you can´t find a papercopy in the bay, just get one from http://www.yamahapubs.com ...they sell official reprints to customers, but only if they´re us-residents...tatersalad314 wrote:I was reviewing it some in the manual. Nice! I'll have to look it up when I get home. I'll want a better copy when I do the valve clearances.

Nope. Mrcycles has lost my business for good. Bikebandits is still a great site though. Always had good luck, and they give a military discount

Well it's a terrible day outside. But I'm headed to the garage to tinker with the bike some more.
Anybody else name their vehicles or am I alone on this one?

Why two different mirrors? Is that all you could find?
Definitely not alone with name your vehicles :lol
My Victory's name is Lady, the GSXR's name is the Tramp, and the FZR's name is Sparky given that is has plenty of spark left in it :p

Re: Far 600 rebuild
That's absolutely as far as I got today. Well, I installed the electrical switch boxes on the grips. Things didn't go as planned today. What a disappointment.

Be thankful you're in your garage, I'm stuck here at work!
Set backs are always disappointing, no worries man.
