Go talk to the tire shop...get the manager involved. You shouldn't have to pay AT ALL!
At the very least do it as a public service! That shop cost you money...damage..could have gotten you killed and the guy who f***ed up is probably STILL screwing up OTHER PEOPLE'S bikes!!!!

I have this same problem with a 89 FZR600 only the push rod did snap and took out the seal and busted off a screw and the threads where the screw goes in to hold the brass part that holds the seal in. There are some gouges where the seal goes and I have a donor motor from a 93. I am wondering would it be worth it to stick the new seal in and hope it stops the oil from leaking or am I looking at a motor swap?
