Yeah it definitely won't have a chain guard mainly because of the difficulty. My goal, if I'm ever going to get them made, is ease. So I'm going to base my mold off the easiest way to glass these. I will keep everyone updated though.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but thought readers of this thread might be interested in this one, also.

That's it. I'm hijacking it back! WOOT

I've made an attempt at the first mold. I think I can make it will work but I've got it down for the next round of molds. Just wanted to update so people know I'm working on it.

Again, thanks to Zero for the use of his hugger as the template.

Thoughts on TK-

as my dad used to say ...... "I'm making a rudder for a duck's ass" (hey, he's built everything else!) LOL2

to quote RUN DMC ..... "Just like King Midas, as I was told, every thing that he touched, turned to gold"
:king :shocker

I wouldn't be surprised if he starts building helmets next. Watch out Scorpion!

I have the stuff to make molds and then I was going to some type of ABS to form them from.
Right now Im trying to get all the stuff together.
I see there is a need for them so I will be selling them cheap.
:headbang: A hugger in ABS would be much better then one in fiberglass ! :headbang:

Will this hugger fit both the :
1989-1990 and the 1991-1999 rear swing arm ?

It should. I just have to get ahold of both to find out. :ermm:

Don't beat on fiberglass too much though compared to ABS. If it's glassed correctly it's just as good. The problem is airtech uses the least amount of glass to make a product to make more money and it's flimsy. It looks to be maybe 2 layers thick. Mine will be at least 3 and probably 4 in the hi-stress areas. Should be a pretty close thickness to ABS.

Kid, how are you doing with the huggers?
Haven't heard anything in a while. Are you still working on this project or you gave up?
