So let me get this right..
You want to get a 2008 R6 which will be financed with no insurance and then you're gonna start stunting it :headscratch:
'92 FZR 600
Airtech R1 kit \*/ 520 conversion \*/ 14F-47R gearing
K&N pod filters \*/ Stage 3 jet kit \*/ Factory Pro shift kit \*/ Full V&H SS exhaust
Custom '02 R6 undertail \*/ YZF gas tank \*/ Raised via dogbones \*/ custom flush turnsignals
Full R6 brake set-up \*/ SS lines \*/ Progressive fork springs \*/ ZX2 coilpack

no, lol.
Im looking for a more reliable newer bike.
my bike wouldnt even start this morning because the battery didnt have enough power. I have to charge that thing day.
theres also something wrong with the clutch or fuel pump. there is like a sweet spot for each gear, and I cant open throttle 4th 5th or 6th because for some reason when I do, the bike acks like its not getting any fuel.

I just want a newer bike that I can really count on.
Im going to have my next bike for awhile, so I want to make it good.
I dont want th 2008 r6, im getting the 2004 R1 for 6k and 2k down, and 1k allready paid off so that leaves 3k to be paid.
the payments on it will be less than 150/m, and after a year it will go up to about 250/m...
So, the bike will be fully paid off in 1 year, and 5 months. and I can do more than 150/m, so the bike will be paid off before then.

Ain't nothing a little work wouldn't fix, but it's your choice. We all had to fix our bikes in order to get it running right. Just remember everything needs fixing at some point in time. Parts will be more expensive for the newer bikes also. Just keep this in mind. Good luck with what ever you decide to do!!

yes but my current bike needs fixing up a little TOO often. Im paying more to have things fixed than it would just to get another bike!

Yeah, the market is flooded with people spazzing out to sell their bikes right now, BUT... i say let them stew a few more months (like i did, haha!) and buy the bike in February, that way you negotiate for the best possible deal. Plus usually people are hurting in January / February for overspending at Christmas, and this works out great for them, and gives you the ultimate bargaining chip.

I would not buy a 2008 R6 to stunt with. Regardless of the fact that it is a high dollar bike. The way that motor makes power is actually REALLY bad for stunting. You want a good stunt bike - get a CBR f4i, Kawi zx636, of SV 650. You want a bike with torque not one that makes all its power only at the top. The newer r6's are like FZR400s on steroids. Breathless down low......

Just stop for a moment and be honest with yourself. Do you really think you are ready for that kind of power on demand? Honestly?

im just looking for a newer bike that is from 2000-2008....
the 2004 R1 is the cheapest bike they have there besides the most hidious and uncomfertable kawa 250's

well, I could get an R6 for the same price, but after sitting on both the R1 and the R6, I can say that I am much more comfertable on the R1.
I also tried the zx6,zx9,zx10,cbr600,cbr1000,gsxr600,gsxr750,gsxr1000, and even the gsx1300r, and yes, the ZX14...
if im going to be spending that much on something, I want it to be comfertable, reliable, and I also want that thing to be easy on the eyes.

lol, its hard enough on just a 600!

There is an undercover cop in my area that rides an R1...
he looks just like any other rider, until he starts following you and chasing you because you were speeding and you just think it some kid wanting to race and you get tricked. :cop:
my friend ran from the R1 cop and actually got away on his 1996 zx6 ninja.
he had to do some dudes of hazard running threw yards and sugar sand to get away.

I had myself convinced that i needed a 2000 and newer EFI bike (as you can see I now have a 94 that currently doesn't run). I even used to own one. This time last year I had a 2006 Kawasaki Z750s in my possession along with the 92 FZR 600 I recently sold. I no longer own either bike (although the Z750 is still in the garage but the other half's father owns it now AND I rode it yesterday) and I have access to an 07 ZX-14, that I put some miles on today. I must say being able to go damn near 90 in first gear is thrilling, scary, and in my case, useless. When am I ever going to need that much power? I don't ride like that to warrant such a bike. Don't get me wrong it's one of the most comfortable bikes i have ever ridden but after weighing the options and looking into the cost AND the fun factor it's not worth it. Then you'll look at my sig and say "Yeah you have a 1000" Right. A carbed, heavy, 94 1000 that I own out right. It'll probably never beat a BUSA or any of the other new bikes but it's mine, I can afford to do what i want with it and the cool factor alone is worth it. I see a bunch of gixxers, R6s, R1, Ninjas all day everyday.....But it's a rare occasion I see another FZR...much less a 1k. Now that's MY reasoning. You're still going to do what you want. But think about this, if you're paying all that money for a bike, and it's your only transportation, and you have no extra money, how are you gonna take that special person out on the town? You're brother's right..buy a car.
