Matt,
with the oil light perm on then either very low on oil OR the right hand switch needs cleaning / repairing. Others have found a blur wire to have broken inside the switch take a quick look.

Well i finally got it running today and it sounds really good, it has a full vance and hines exhaust, and im really happy
but the problem ended up being a combination of 2 things, a cut wire going to the neutral switch and a bad start switch on the bars, but its going now and i cant wait to get out and ride
Thank you to everyone for your help, ive learned a lot about these bikes in a short amount of time haha, and look forward to fixing this bike up the way i want it!
