ok il just start off at the begining.. i was wondering if i had to use 93 octane in the bike cuz it is expensive, so a couple people said just try a little of a lower grade and see how the bike runs, so i put midgrade in it, ran like ass, i aslo re-wired my vr( correctly), and i had to rewire my turn signals too. now when i put my signals on and push the brakes the bike drops idle and dies if im going down the road.. like today when i went to the store ( 2 mile ride). i cant get it to do it at idle though, idk its just weird. it seems like something is pulling alot from the battery but idk what it could be, i have a racing front end, so it didnt have any headlights, so i had to wire a fog light to a switch.. but it died when the light was off so i have no idea. anyone else ever had this happen to them? WHAT COULD IT BE!

Sounds like a weak stator since you already said the battery is ok. I would give the battery another look though since bad VR's are known to toast batteries.

The corrosion is already caused by acid (battery acid) putting more acid of a
different type (Acetic) is dangerous !!!!!!!!

To kill acid corrosion you need a neutraliser like baking soda solution or even a mild alkeline washing up liquid (although a lot of those have salt which is also corrosive)

I had my tach jump on me (between 7 and 10 K) and it turned out to be a loose battery cable connection at the battery.

i cleaned and tightened the battery, it hasnt died on me again, but i noticed it idles at 1.5k untill it warms up, then at 2k, and when i put the brakes on the idle drops but it you hold the brakes while continuing to slow down it will eventually go back up again, also i think my throttle cable is sticking. how do you lube that?

Cable lube. Or the manual says 10w30 cable lube is a lot better though.

Chris.

F,
you are not dumb just inexperienced,
the old trick for (any) cable lubing is to get the highest point out from its fixing and then tie it up to some thing so it stays high. then get some kids modeling clay and form a funnel found the cable outer.

Then fill that funnel with your favourite lube and top it up until you see the lube drip out the bottom end. Leave it like that over night . then take off your modeling clay funnel and wipe the top end of the outer clean and re-assemble back into its fastening point
